Food-2-U restaurant services are custom designed to your individual business requirements. Our programmers will design a screen layout that will enable our receptionists to ask the right questions, of the right people.

 

Is English the first language of Food-2-U's employees?

Yes. Many answering services are located overseas because of lower wages.  Food-2-U is located in Utah providing restaurants and customers with service they deserve.

 

 

What does "patching" mean?
Patching is when a Food-2-U receptionist answers a call that requires transfer of the customer to the Food-2-U subscriber's telephone. In other words, when patching is required, the receptionists will take details from the caller and then place them briefly on hold while they make contact (via phone) to the Food-2-U subscriber. Once the subscriber has been contacted and been briefed on the details of the conversation, the MAP receptionist will then "patch" (transfer) the caller through to the restaurant. This service and procedure is often used for emergency calls.

 

Can Food-2-U process orders for my company?
Yes. Food-2-U’s systems allow us to be able to process most orders for your customers. Food-2-U can even interface with your restaurant supplies website to do this.

 

Is there a limit to how many different employees (recipients) can receive the same message?
If required, the Food-2-U delivery system can be programmed to deliver the same message to multiple recipients at the same time. The recipients can even be using different types of devices, meaning one may receive the message on a cell phone, another on a pager, and others may simply receive the message as a notification on their email and simply on the restaurant phones. There are no additional charges for this type of multi-dispatch. It is charged as if the message were sent to one recipient.

 

Can I forward my cell phone to your service?
Yes, in fact Food-2-U's Answering Service plans give you the ability to forward any number of restaurant phones or personal line(s) to your exclusive toll free 800 number.

 

Can I receive a local telephone number?
Even better, Food-2-U will supply you with a nationwide toll free 800 number to which you can forward your phone; advertise for people to call direct, or both. If you still want a local number to keep your "local presence" in place, simply advertise your existing local number and forward that number to Food-2-U.

 

How long does it take to have an account activated and start service?
Depending upon the complexity of the account, usually within a week.

 

Is this a long term contract?
No. Your Food-2-U service operates on a day to day basis.  All you have to do is forward your number back to the store to cancel. There are no termination fees.

 

Does Food-2-U offer its services nationwide?
Yes, Because of Food-2-U's advanced technologies it does not matter where your business is physically located.

 

What are the advantages of time based billing?
Food-2-U service is charged on a "time used" approach. In other words you simply pay for what you use and not for what you thought you would use.  Your business is billed $0.80 per minute billed per second with no other fees other than a set up fee.

 

Will Food-2-U answer as my business?

Yes.  Food-2-U answers the in the same way as an employee at the store would be answering.  The customer never knows that they are not talking to someone at the store.

How do I get my orders?                                                      We put your store on a network.  There will not be any maintaining of any associate of yours.  A computer will show the orders that you have and a receipt printer will print out automatically that looks exactly like the ones you print now including cost.

What do you need from my business?                           You will need an internet connection preferably a high-speed connection since it is more reliable and faster.  Also you will need to add call forwarding to your existing phone service and if you would like an additional phone line since your inbound call will now be forwarded.  If needed people can still call the current number and be patched to the new number if they need to talk to an employee.

How will Food-2-U know the answers to all the questions of customers?                                                         First off the Food-2-U employees are trained on each individual account so the products are learned.  For questions like what is in the pasta?  That information is all in our computer system that automatically comes up when the customer calls.  We will know everything: location, who’s working, hours, items, specials, ect.

How do I know Food-2-U is not stalling on the phone running up my bill?                                                               We want your business.  We also want the business of everyone you know.  You are more than able to check up on us by calling your store and seeing for yourself.  In all cases we are more efficient than anyone at a store location could ever be do too a quite environment with no distractions, all information at our fingertips, repetition, and there isn’t any distance for us to travel to pick up a phone.

                                                                                                       What if I have to make a change to our menu?             Just call Food-2-U?  Changes will be made within 24 hours.  If you run out of product or another emergency those short term changes will be made immediately.
